What is CBD isolate?
An Isolate, as the name suggests, is one specific isolated substance or molecule. Cannabidiol (CBD) isolate is 99.5% only cannabidiol. The additives obtained during the extraction process have been purified from the plant by post-treatment in the laboratory, and only one active ingredient, or isolate, hereby CBD, remains.
There are isolates of almost all cannabinoids contained in the plant – cannabigerol (CBG), cannabidiol (CBD), etc. Isolates are our most processed ingredients with specific functional effects specific to a specific cannabinoid. At the moment, PĒLL only sells isolate products with CBD, but products with CBG will be added soon.
CBD isolate is, for example, very good against performance anxiety because it helps to maintain full alertness, but simply mitigates the initial unwanted anxiety that comes with the spotlight.
What is CBD extract?
Products with extracts contain a number of other cannabinoids and terpenes in addition to one specific cannabidiol.
Cannabinoids are organic substances found not only in hemp but also in other plants, such as cocoa and black pepper. Terpenes give the plant its characteristic aroma and taste. Cannabis plants contain up to 120 different terpenes. It is increasingly believed that terpenes work together with cannabinoids by enhancing the effects of the latter.
How are the effects of isolate and extract different?
The advantages of CBD isolate compared to extracts containing more cannabinoids, it has well-charted functionalities – anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effects, neuroprotection, help against performance anxiety. The isolate is recommended when there is no previous experience with CBD and you want to understand its effect.
On the other hand, limited functionality and a high level of processing can also be a disadvantage. The body can no longer absorb a certain amount of pure CBD or isolate, and it is simply excreted. In the case of a more complex extract, the body’s absorption capacity is greater.
Increasingly, studies confirm the greatest benefits of CBD in the form of an extract, i.e. full-spectrum CBD oil, containing several different compounds, in which cannabinoids and terpenes work synergistically and can provide relief to health concerns more effectively and on a larger scale.
What is the difference between Medium and Strong CBD extract?
Strong and medium do not refer to the CBD content in the product, but to the effect strength and fragrance characteristics of the extract itself. Products with a strong extract have a really strong, herbal smell that can be off-putting at first. At the same time, this smell is a sign of the product’s high functionality.
What do pure and organic mean?
Pure CBD isolate means that the product contains only CBD and no other cannabinoids.
Organic stands for organic, and organic is the hemp seed oil that we use in all our products.
What does the % of the product mean?
The % in the product shows how much percent the specific product contains the extract or isolate. If there are no conscious complaints and the general desire is to support the body’s functioning, lighter oils are well suited: with up to 10% cannabinoids. The effect of these oils manifests itself over time, after a few to twenty days, creating positive changes in the body, for example, in the form of reducing inflammation, strengthening the immune system, repairing joints, alleviating autoimmune diseases, or improving everyday well-being.
Effects described for 10% products are side effects for higher concentration oils.
Stronger oils with 30% cannabinoids are designed to provide an immediate and soothing effect. 30% isolate is good for pain and anxiety, and extracts are good especially for stress, concentration problems, and insomnia.
What does a full-spectrum product mean?
Full-spectrum CBD oil contains several different cannabinoids and terpenes that work synergistically with each other to increase the product’s effectiveness and functionality.
Which product to choose?
There are a number of individual factors to consider when finding the best product for your body – your age, lifestyle, and any health deficiencies you wish to alleviate or avoid.
If there are no conscious complaints and you generally want to support the body’s functioning, thinner oils with up to 10% cannabinoid content are fine. The effect of these oils manifests itself over time, after a few to twenty days, creating positive changes in the body, for example, in the form of reducing inflammation, strengthening the immune system, repairing joints, alleviating autoimmune diseases or improving everyday well-being.
The Strong extract has a stronger smell, which may not suit everyone but is also accompanied by a more versatile and effective effect. A Strong extract is more suitable for the evening.
The Medium extract has almost the same effect without the characteristic smell, but is precisely softer – more suitable, for example, for daily use. The product recommendations overlap, but in the end everyone will find the right one for themselves.
