Know your products! Isolate, full spectrum vs broad spectrum?

What differentiates one CBD oil from another and how to find the most suitable product on the market?

🔸 CBD isolate is 99.5% cannabidiol only. Additional substances obtained during the extraction process have been purified from the plant by post-treatment in the laboratory, and only one substance, the isolate, remains.

Isolate is recommended especially when there is no previous exposure to CBD and you want to understand its effect.

🔸 Full-spectrum CBD is an extract of all cannabinoids and terpenes contained in the hemp plant. Studies consistently confirm that CBD is more effective in the form of an extract containing several compounds, i.e. full-spectrum CBD, in which cannabinoids and terpenes work synergistically and can provide relief to health concerns more effectively and on a larger scale.

🔸 In the case of Broad spectrum CBD, however, it is difficult to assess the composition of the product, and often such a label can be nothing more than an advertising gimmick. At this year’s conference of the European Industrial Hemp Association, it was pointed out that out of a hundred products with broad-spectrum labels on sale 95% did not contain other cannabinoids besides CBD.

👉 Therefore, when choosing CBD, it would be safer to prefer either an isolate or a full-spectrum extract and of course always check the ingredients and manufacturer of a specific product in order to be sure of the quality of the oil.
