Answers To Frequently Asked Questions:

What is cannabidiol (CBD) and what does it do?
Cannabidiol, or CBD, is one of the many cannabinoids found within the hemp plant. CBD was the first cannabinoid discovered, and because of this, it is also the most studied cannabinoid. CBD is non-psychoactive and non-addictive.
Preclinical study results have shown that CBD has the potential to have anti-inflammatory, neuroprotective, antipsychotic, analgesic, anticonvulsant, antiemetic (anti-nausea/vomiting), antioxidative, antiarthritic, and antitumor effects. Read more from our blog.

Who are cannabinoid products suitable for?
Cannabinoids can have wide-ranging effects on the human body, which are manifested through our endocannabinoid systems. This system is present in all vertebrate animals.
We do not recommend full-spectrum cannabinoid products to under-18s without special circumstances. Products containing cannabinoid isolates can be administered to under-18s, as isolates are more limited in their functionality and are free of THC.
We also do not recommend using cannabinoid products during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Cannabinoid products are perfectly suitable for pets, though we recommend less concentrated products for animals. As always, the PĒLL team will be more than happy to help you with a more detailed recommendation!

Quality Control of Our Products
PĒLL products are regularly assessed by the laboratory of the Institute of Chemistry and Biotechnology, Faculty of Science, TalTech.
Are cannabinoids legal in Europe?
Cannabinoid products are legal in Europe. The level of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) in such products must be below 0.2%. This is the case for all PĒLL products.

How to preserve your products?
Both cannabinoids and hemp seed oil are relatively delicate and should be kept away from direct sunlight and excessive cold and heat. Although our products come in glass bottles that offer some UV production, the optimal storage place for PĒLL products is a dark place, between 16°C and 50°C. Thank you!
How fast will you notice the effects?
If you are a first-time user of cannabinoid products, it may take up to two weeks for the products to take effect in some cases. However, this is a rare occurrence.
The immediate effect of cannabinoid products usually appears after 5-15 minutes and lasts 3-4 hours.
Long-term effects for more complex health problems may need between 1-4 weeks of regular use to appear.

How long do the effects of cannabinoid products last?
It is important to make a distinction here between long-term and immediate effects. The immediate effects of cannabinoid products usually last around 3-4 hours. Long-term effects, which occur after using cannabinoid products for 2 weeks or more, can last for half a year. There have been some examples of effects lasting even longer, with cannabinoid products helping the body regain its natural balance. This can apply to problems including but not limited to mood disorders, sleep problems, digestive problems, skin issues, and some joint problems.
Cannabinoids & Pregnancy
We do not recommend taking cannabinoid products during pregnancy or breastfeeding. There are many alternative ways to support your body and its endocannabinoid system during pregnancy. One option we recommend is the consumption of completely safe hemp seed oil. Hemp seed oil contains essential Omega-3-6-9 fatty acids, which are an irreplaceable raw material used by the body to create endocannabinoids such as anandamide. An option such as this can ensure necessary ingredients for the mother and baby’s bodily functioning are available, without any risk.

First-time user? What to keep in mind.
If you feel that the immediate effects of PĒLL products (reducing anxiety, promoting concentration, promoting sleep, etc) are present but have not fully manifested, please do not increase your dose past 2-3 drops or sprays per day, especially for products with 30% strength.
The reason we recommend this, based on recent scientific research, is because the likely cause for this limited effect is a reduced amount of cannabinoid receptors in the body, thereby meaning the absorption rate of cannabinoids by the body is lower than expected.
However, the human body is highly adaptable and will start to add receptors almost immediately upon using cannabinoid products. Within a period of two weeks, your body will increase its amount of cannabinoid receptors to the expected amount. This process can be accelerated by eating lactic acid bacteria (found in kefir, sauerkraut, and other fermented products). As with all cannabinoid use, consistency is key!
Where can you travel with PĒLL products?
It is always advisable to check the legality of cannabinoid products in destination countries when traveling outside the European Union. Recent developments across the world have seen many countries legalize cannabinoid products. Even Indonesia, famous for its very strict cannabis laws, has now legalized cannabinoid products. It always pays to be sure, however. And remember, if in doubt, you can always ask us here at PĒLL!

CBD and other medications
This is a very important question that can only be properly answered on a case-by-case basis. We ask that you consult PĒLL for an individual recommendation. We also regularly consult with a team of doctors who are familiar with the use of cannabinoid products in various fields and can help with more complex questions.
We recommend using either CBD products or antidepressants, not both. This is because these substances work in different ways and can sometimes inhibit each other’s processes. Using both CBD and antidepressants at the same time can also make it difficult to ascertain which substance is causing specific effects on your body.
Antidepressants often work by turning off parts of the brain. Cannabinoids, on the other hand, work by strengthening our endocannabinoid systems and increasing the receptors present.
Drug Testing
If you know you are going to be subjected to a drug test that measures the content of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), and the result of this test must be zero, we do not recommend using PĒLL cannabinoid products. This is because PĒLL products contain trace amounts of THC (well within the allowed European Union limits).
